Texts on Contemporary Photography offers introductory and synthetic texts on contemporary photographic practices in all their diversity, through the prism of a single notion – exhibition, violence, the image-object or ecology. By combining works written by artists, researchers or critics, the aim is to promote personal subjectivities and the skills that arise from different ways of thinking about images. Designed for photographers, art historians or simply the curious, this series aims to provide the keys to understanding certain themes or photographic forms, omnipresent in today’s visual culture. The works, published by Éditions du Centre de la photographie Genève, will be printed in pocket format and distributed free of charge in ebook form.
