This two-day workshop led by internationally renown photographer Anne Morgenstern will cover several aspects of portrait photography, from scouting and choosing a location, to the collaboration with a model and finally, the selection and editing of your images. Her workshop will alternate demonstrations, individual practice with her support, and collective feedback sessions. During the first day, she will share her tips for finding good locations in public space and for interacting with models you are not familiar with, before letting you experiment with a first shooting on location with her support. This first day will conclude with a group feedback session and discussion on the images made during that day. The second day will comprise another shooting, this time with a strong focus on photographing people you do not know, followed by another group session with a stronger focus on the selection of images. The workshop intends to give you practical and actionable advice about photographing people, as well as expand your horizon and curiosity. It ultimately aims to support your own practice of photography.
