“Walking conditioned sight, and sight conditioned walking, till it seemed only the feet could see.” Robert Smithson
What if our feet were (or had) eyes? This workshop explores the body as a tool for writing, to see how our movements trace out an imperceptible line or figure in space until a path is completed. Time and space structure this experience, similarly to the photographic process. Over three days, walking will be our tool for exploring and interacting with Geneva's landscapes, offering a simultaneous reading and writing of the space. As in a game, we will begin by establishing a few rules to guide our gaze and our photographs, inviting us to observe and photograph the places to which our steps lead us.
