Artist residencies are becoming increasingly numerous and always better integrated into the local and international cultural scenes, where they are often key players. For artists, they can represent significant opportunities thanks to the time, space and infrastructure allocated to the development of their practice. They also often offer key networking opportunities with professionals and and organisations of the art world and other fields, and even a prestigious line to the CV. Meanwhile, many artists' residencies are working to make their programmes more diverse and accessible. During this talk, the issues surrounding residencies will be addressed by an artist and the representatives of two major artist residencies in the Lake Geneva region.
With Yvan Alvarez (artist), Luc Meier (La Becque), Mónica Bello ou Xenia Harder (Arts at CERN) et Léonie Rose Marion (Centre de la photographie Genève)
