The conference will address human rights in the digital age, focusing on the following issues: surveillance tools and virtual borders; threats to democracy; exploitation and exclusion in the digital economy; appropriation of these tools in the process of artistic creation. To discuss these issues, the debate will bring a variety of perspectives, including one of the main NGOs active in the defence and promotion of human rights, a philanthropic foundation active on issues of governance and civic engagement, as well as the point of view of a specialist in the uses of technology in contemporary art.
Event jointly organised by Human Rights Watch and the Act On Your Future Foundation.
