As part of the exhibition Making Light of Every Thing, the artist Martin Widmer is doing a reading of his text Empire, which has never before been performed in Switzerland.

Writing and readings are an integral part of Martin Widmer's artistic practice. This text, like many of his other texts, experiments with the mechanisms of vision, in this case linked to the processes of hypnosis, as well as techniques of mental projection. Empire also deals more broadly with the violence of urbanity and architecture, in a social context dominated by entrepreneurial utopias.
