While still a student, Pierre Radisic was awarded the 1982 National Photography Prize of Belgium. He works mainly in thematic series, like Portraits de couples, playing with the physical similarities that appear over time on the faces of couples; Pornscapes, an assembly of carefully laid-out landscapes and X-rated photos; or The Man Who Fell to Earth, in which he integrates his standing full-length shadow into the photograph. In Corps célestes, the series featured in the exhibition, Radisic photographed the skin of men and women, then connected the moles and beauty spots with a line on the negative prints—that is, on white skin turned black. The marks look like stars shining in the night sky, creating new constellations.
